aBOUT Me

I'm a graduate of Bucknell University pursuing scenic painting and design in Los Angeles.

A love for studio art began early in my life but my experience and passion for theatre came to be in my 11th grade year of high school. I found myself in the role of the props master and painting all major scenic focal points. I  maintained these roles for 4 productions through graduation. It was only natural that I continued being active in theatre at Bucknell University, and within six weeks, I was was on the payroll as a technical assistant, primarily working in the shop and building the large sets while getting additional mentoring on scenic design. Ultimately, my role transformed into mostly scenic painting and design work and props, allowing me to build a design foundation and develop my skills and create many beautiful pieces for major productions. I also took on the role of stage manager of eight major dance concerts and took coursework on scenic design and technical theatre that also provided me with invaluable knowledge that I employ today.

As a scenic artist, I primarily focus on painting and have a wide range of abilities that include carpentry, sculpture, model construction, graphic design, prop crafting, sewing, floral arranging, and more. I'm hoping to break into the film world, primarily within the art department. Since arriving in Los Angeles, my work has included work as a set dresser and production assistant for television, a scenic artist and carpenter for theatre, a scenic painter for Knott's Berry Farm's Halloween Haunt, and a scenic painter at backdrop painting company.

Outside of theatre, I also focused heavily on child psychology throughout my college career, developing an expansive knowledge on the specific impacts of hospitalization on children and how to help them overcome difficulties. The intervention that I used most often was art, which proved to be a powerful tool when it came to normalization, expression, and validation. This remains a passion of mine and I also seek to pursue a certification in Child Life.
